Stem Cell Network North Rhine-Westphalia Kick-off meeting – May 13-14, Dusseldorf (Germany)

The mission of the Stem Cell Network North Rhine-Westphalia is to bring together stem cell research activities in North Rhine-Westphalia using a unique, transdisciplinary approach and to interconnect them nationally and globally. We use the Kick-off Meeting to celebrate the permanent funding awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The new funding scheme comes with a strong focus on translational research while maintaining the running support for fundamental research.

The Kick-off Meeting will bring together renowned stem cell scientists from the biomedical field as well as from ethics, law and sociology. Furthermore, scientists from the Stem Cell Network North Rhine-Westphalia will present latest results from the field of translational stem cell research, accompanied by talks from industry and start-ups. As a networking event, there will be a river cruise on May 13th. Furthermore, free childcare is provided during the talks. Registration deadline is April 23rd. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited. Program draft is available on the website and will be constantly updated.
